January was one of the fastest months of transition and transformation I have experienced, and February has a rhythm I’m learning to embrace.
We’re smack dab in the middle of winter season and the element that influences this time of year is water.
Water reminds us to go with the flow and build in time to pause, breathe, smile and reflect.
The Chinese say it’s a great time to be well hydrated, sip tea, and eat warm soups.
A metaphor I find helpful is to remember that before a seed can sprout it must gather strength, and like seeds, we are intentionally gathering strength for Spring:)
During all the changes we are making let’s remember to be kind to ourselves and to each other.
I love the way Henry James expresses this sentiment:
“Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind, the second is to be kind, and the third is to be kind.”
