“Let us learn to appreciate there will be times when the trees will be bare, and look forward to the time when we may pick the fruit.” Anton Chekhov
A few weeks back I selected a favorite book to read again titled Write It Down, Make it Happen knowing what you want and getting it!
Re-reading the stories in this book helps me embrace this month’s focus of loosening up.
In one story the author, Henriette Anne Klauser, suggests we create separate journals to log activities like gratitude, business success, books read, countries visited etc…which inspired me to start a journal for recording Weekend Walks.
Walking in a beautiful nature setting elevates my energy, and makes me feel happier and healthier. And I’m discovering that journaling about my weekend walks fills me up.
Can you think of any adventures you’d like to start recording? I’m finding that writing them down fills me up and fuels my interest for the next steps forward.
Last year a friend introduced me to the free phone app, Hiking Project, and I look forward to using it to get ideas on where to visit next. If you’re not familiar with it, I believe it’s worth checking out.
“Keep close to nature’s heart and break clear away once in awhile. Climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods.” John Muir
All righty that’s it for this week…let’s be curious and have fun exploring wherever we live with childlike wonder…let’s drink in the beauty of this Spring season:)
