It’s our last Friday Morning Musing for August which reminds me that before I choose something new, I have one more post to share regarding kindness.
Here’s quite a story that speaks to very severe conditions and shares how one small act of kindness made a BIG difference!
“During the holocaust, the Nazis kept the Jews underfed and malnourished to minimize retaliation.
As one of the child prisoners fell on the brink of starvation, a Nazi soldier snuck him a rotten potato to eat.
The nine year old boy credited the soldier’s kind gesture with helping him survive the ordeal.
When the boy grew up, he told his son about the Nazi soldier’s life-saving deed and the overall importance of showing kindness to others.
In an effort to immortalize his father’s touching story and spread the message of kindness, the son created an energy bar in 2004 that became one of the fastest-growing snack brands in the United States.
